Abu Samra (EG)

Artist
Abou Samra (Ahmed Abou-Samra) developed his love for music at a very young age, he was only 12 when music and instruments really grabbed his attention and quickly by the age of 13 (2004) he already had his first 2 vinyls and a pioneer mixer and it all started from there. Abou Samra was taken by electronic music, playing for years in underground parties and after parties many of them organized by him, his sets were so diverse ranging from progressive house to techno and trance and this diversity is what always kept the crowd coming back to him for more of his private parties and long trippy sets. Upon finishing high school Abou Samra took a brave decision, packing his 2 turn tables a small bag and moved alone to Barcelona, where he planned to pursue a career in music, fast forward 2 years of inspiration by the Catalunyan tech house scene and a lot of small gigs, Abou Samra had landed himself among the kings of Barcelona with a set at the infamous "elrow" a place where he mentioned inspired him and where he had many great experiences. Playing regularly around Barcelona Abou Samra caught the attention of his hometowns biggest entertainment company at that time "ByGanz" who offered him a residency and gigs with Jaun Claude Ades and Michele Cleis. More inclined on personal success, Abou Samra started his own company "Blurr Entertainment" trying to help his home towns music scene grow, of course between his time spent in Barcelona and managing the company from abroad it wasn't easy. Never the less, he's hosted shows and played sets along artists like Steve Lawler, Nicole Moudaber, Matthias Tanzmann and Nic Fanciulli at his Blurr Partoes and he even went on to inviting "elrow" to Cairo and Alexandria to shows that were labeled "Parties of the year" in Egypt, while also playing at "elrow Barcelona" alongside other huge names like Joris Voorn, Paco Osuna, The Martinez Brothers and Umek. About Samra's inspiration for techno and tech house as a DJ and as a producer has seen huge growth in the past year gaining recognition from many big promoters and artists, along with his constant touring, he has played at this years Movement Festival in Croatia and with releases coming on labels such as Lapsus, Selected Revords and Go Deeva, 2016 looks like his year with many more to come.
