EVENT POSTPONED - IN BETWEEN: Building future-proof NightCulture with INC
EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS
Due to the current Code Yellow weather warning, it’s not responsible to gather outdoors on the construction site for safety reasons. Therefore it was decided to postpone our event at the building site of INC.The new event date will be announced after ADE. Make sure to fill out your contacts in the RSVP to stay up-to-date about the new event date. The team of inc. is looking forward to welcome you and exploring the space at an other date. Thank you for your understanding.
A year after its launch at the Stedelijk Museum, INC finds itself in a liminal state: both a construction site and a growing organisation, once again asking the question: What is an Institute of NightCulture?
INC (Institute of NightCulture) is the first building in Amsterdam fully designed and built from the ground up as a space dedicated to experimental night culture. More than a dance floor, INC will be a living, breathing cultural hub, a space where identity, creativity, and collective imagination can grow.
While its physical walls are still under construction, INC now invites the public for the very first time to step inside its future home. This is an opportunity to explore the building site not just as a place of transition, but as a space with its own meaning and energy.
For ADE, INC collaborates with poet and theater maker Marjolijn van Heemstra to transform the construction site into a place of pause. Together, we experience twilight: that in-between moment when day turns into night. Rather than rushing into darkness, Marjolijn invites us to slow down as the light fades and boundaries blur.
This program is part of INC’s mission to bring experimental night culture back to the city centre, creating a place where progressive night culture is produced, programmed, and documented. By opening its doors before opening night, INC invites the public to co-create and participate in shaping its identity.
During the evening, architect David Mulder van der Vegt will share insights into the physical space INC is creating. Afterwards, a member of the INC team will reflect on what has been achieved so far and what lies ahead in the coming year.

Festival FAQ
ADE Festival tickets will be sold via the festival event organizers individually. Therefore, we advise you to keep an eye on their own website/socials.

Not to worry! Make sure to contact the event (or their ticketing provider) you are visiting as soon as possible with as many details about your order; name, email address, amount of tickets, etc. Once they've recovered your order, the tickets can be resent to your email.
Need help to find your event's contact details? Message us at [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.
Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.
Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!
Yes, the ADE Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events.
Be aware though that there are over 1,200 events during ADE that you can enter with the Pro Pass wristband and that ADE cannot guarantee access. There is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for Pro Pass holders. This means for some of the more crowded events you have to arrive early. Once capacity is reached, we will go over in a full-for-now policy. The festival event organizer will decide when and if more people are allowed to go in.
The ADE Pro Pass is the perfect fit if you are planning on enjoying the combination of day and night events. If you want guaranteed access to a particular festival event, we advise you to get a single festival ticket instead.
We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.
Please keep in mind: we love being your annual host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy yourself responsibly.
