Executive Vice-President Nicki Farag is a 17-year veteran of Def Jam Recordings and the
iconic hip-hop label’s first female Head of Promotion. She has been instrumental in breaking
dozens of artists and records, notably massive radio success stories from Jay Z, Rihanna,
Kanye West and Justin Bieber, she shepherded #1 singles from Alessia Cara and Logic and
has had huge crossover success with YG.
Farag is a strong advocate for more inclusion and representation in the music industry on all levels. In this 1-on-1 talk hosted in association with Top Notch | Noah’s Ark’s Top Class, she will discuss her successful come-up as a woman in the music industry and becoming one of it’s main female executives. She will share her vision on the steps needed to create more representation in the music industry across the board and what is needed in her view to make the industry more reflective of the society in which it operates. She will tackle what it takes to break down existing barriers and smash ceilings and share her inspiring and career defining strategies for a new generation of female music artists and industry professionals.
