Sevdaliza (NL)

Sevdaliza is an autodidactic singer, songwriter, visual artist and composer/producer. Her creations contrast husky vocals with heavy basslines creating a mood that screams of temptation. Born in Iran and residing in the Netherlands, the 27-year-old has made quite a name of herself. Sevdaliza is a very passionate artist with a demanding vision in imagery/sound and an academic background in communication. Over the years, she realized she wanted to spread her vision through multiple formats. The intention was always present, it just needed a form. Sevdaliza plays with thesimulation of identities and fantasies that can hardly be distinguished from reality. Creating a world where everything is possible. When the intention is clear, the melodies flow. To Sevdaliza, expression also comes forward in designing every detail in sound and imagery. The music is charged with obscure energy and an enormous amount of dynamics. It portrays a porcelain yet deep fullness. Within two years she has managed to launch an international music career. In 2015 she was appointed by several international gatekeepers as notable talent. In addition, because of her outspoken style she was featured in magazines such as Vogue and Glamcult, and was appointed as a style ambassador of H&M. Her self produced music videos attracted worldwide attention of many international blogs and Complex nominated her single "Sirens of the Caspian" as one of the most creative music videos or 2014. In 2015 she played the prestigious SXSW festival and released her debut EP "The Suspended Kid which was well received worldwide. Meanwhile, her music has been synced on the runway and in stores for Armani and DKNY. Besides that, she is one of the participants of the Red Bull Music Academy class of 2015.
