Selectress Khan (NL)

With Belgian-Pakistani roots and now based in Amsterdam Selectress Khan is a selector devoted to the deep roots of reggae and dub, keeping the culture alive through the warmth and authenticity of vinyl. Playing exclusively records, she draws on the rich heritage of roots reggae, heavyweight dub and conscious sounds, bringing together deep rhythms, meditative basslines and powerful messages.

With a strictly vinyl approach, Selectress Khan honours the tradition of sound system culture, where the music speaks through the record, the bass and the connection between selector and audience. Her selections are rooted in the foundations of reggae and dub, creating immersive musical journeys that celebrate the timeless power of the sound.
