Lorne Padman (US)
Lorne Padman is a GRAMMY Award nominated producer and the President of Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records, Los Angeles. Lorne has extensive experience in the nuanced landscape of the electronic music industry, working internationally as a Record Label Creative/Executive, Songwriter, Producer, A&R, DJ, Artist Manager, Radio Programmer, Top40 Radio-Host, Radio & TV Promoter, Event Promoter, and Music Consultant.
He was part of the 3-person development teams for the first original releases for major dance brands including Avicii, The Chainsmokers and Dirty South, and has worked with some of the industry's biggest artists including Afrojack, Don Diablo, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Laidback Luke and Gareth Emery.
Lorne co-authored a proposal in 2023 to the Recording Academy to successfully create the new GRAMMY Award “Best Dance Pop Recording”, doubling the number of nominations for Dance/Electronic from 5 to 10, the biggest movement forward for the Dance genre at the Recording Academy, since the advent of the category in 1998.
Lorne regularly presents on industry panels and at music schools globally - including the Ivy League Princeton University, University of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles, Colorado State University College of Business, NAMM California, ICON Collective LA, Musikmakarna Songwriters Academy of Sweden.
