Matinée (BE)

Nowadays, noise surrounds us. From the huffing and puffing of cities and the never-ending roar of its many automobiles to the satisfied slurping of the daytime shopper or commuting workers.
Living in the city, we forget to notice the moments in between, little intermissions before the loudness comes flooding back in. Stillness. But the vividness of the city is equally alive through the moments of rest it demands.

Matinée is a slow gem and brunch concept each last Sunday of the month, on changing locations in Brussels. They turn a place upside down and convert it into a big living room, to create and offer a space to find some rest in a very unstrained, obligation-free way. Like this, they want to re-praise Sunday as a resting day, and enrich the music scene in Brussels.
