His awesome record collection, spanning five decades of dance music, is the base for a unique sound, always a few steps ahead of the game. He has been named as the Larry Levan of Amsterdam, but mainly he goes by the name “The Don” aka Don Melon. With releases and remixes on top notch labels such as Innervisions, Rekids, Rush Hour, D.O.C.,Rebirth, Compost, Systematic, Deep Vibes and his own imprints Ratio?music and Raw Meat, Melon has managed to create a high production profile. Next to his collaborations with friends such as San Proper and Tom Trago, Melon is praised for his signature grooves.
