Martin la Pelle (NL)

Martin Scheppink ('92) aka Martin La Pelle is a seasoned musician. Fascinated by any kind of keyboard as a child, Martin started practicing the piano at the age of six.

This led to him playing in various bands at a young age. With a dot on the horizon, he started his education at the Herman Brood Academy and graduated in 2014, he started working in the music industry in the final phase of his education. For him, there was and is no plan B.

His experience is very broad, namely from rock band The Silverfaces (2013-2019) to the permanent keyboard player with Hadewych Minis (2013-2018).
Not much later he filled in for Douwe Bob (2017) and then stayed there as a permanent band member.

Martin played hundreds of live shows and at festivals such as Lowlands, Zwarte Cross & Concert at Sea, radio/tv promos and has provided many albums/singles with his keyboard playing.

Due to the corona crisis, many performances were canceled and Martin was again dependent on himself, which resulted in a beautiful collection of piano music. Under the pseudonym 'Martin La Pelle', the first single 'Survivant' will be released on September 24, which is recorded and produced by Martijn Groeneveld (Blaudzun, Dotan, Emil Landman).
