Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation (ADE) is the leading trade platform for the electronic music industry as well as the largest club festival for electronic music and dance culture in the world. With over 200 venues, 2,500 performing acts and 500,000 visits by music lovers and professionals from all over the world, Amsterdam is the global hub for the electronic music industry for five days.

For over 25 years, the beating heart of the Amsterdam Dance Event has been the annual ADE Pro Conference. This is where the entire music industry engaged in electronic music, including artists, producers, DJs, agents, managers, record labels, tech companies, export bureaus, and governments, comes together.

Every year, ADE Pro welcomes more than 10,000 music professionals from 150 different countries to Amsterdam. For a large part of this group, ADE organizes networking events, knowledge-sharing sessions, spaces for business meetings, master classes and workshops. Over four days, we shed light on the latest trends in our sector and address current affairs related to electronic music culture.

Job description & activities:

For the ADE conference team, we are looking for a programmer with specific knowledge, experience and an international network within the business and tech sector of the (electronic) music industry. The programmer is responsible for the overall planning of the Pro conference, ensuring a diverse lineup of speakers and participants and making sure that all current topics are covered during the conference.

You will keep the numerous external contacts of ADE up-to-date and proactively engage in programming. You will work alongside multiple programmers and program advisors, collaborating with the project management and production team to coordinate all speaker bookings. The program is developed through close collaboration with the ADE partnerships and marcom team to create a holistic program that effectively represents the interests of our partners.

Your profile:

+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event-, conference- and exhibition programming;
+ Large international network within the music industry;
+ Able to keep an overview during busy times;
+ Experienced in organising events;
+ Familiar with current trends and developments within the (electronic) music industry;
+ Result-oriented and systematic;
+ Flexible and creative in finding solutions;
+ Ability to work independently and proactively;
+ Experience with project management software and CRM systems is a plus;
+ Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
