Parris Mitchell (US)

Artist
During the late 80s and 90s Chicago’s Dance Mania was a powerhouse label releasing a wealth of fresh and exciting material that ranges from deep and melodic to raw, jacking and ghetto. Releasing exclusively on the label from 1994-1997 was one man who helped define the labels early out put, namely Parris Mitchell. As a youngster, Mitchell learned his trade playing disco before moving on to making house records inspired by seeing heroes like Ron Hardy play at the Muzic Box and The Warehouse. He took his own house sounds into wholly new realms and also recorded as Victor Romeo and Rhythm II Rhythm. In more recent times Mitchell has released on underground Berlin label Deep Moves and continues to stupefy crowds with his fearless productions and selections despite having done so for more than 20 years already.
