Mertens (TR)

Born in 2001, Mertens began to explore his passion for electronic music at a young age. At the age of
17, he started working with Jeton Records and Ferhat Albayrak, further strengthening his bond with
electronic music. After meeting his idols like Carl Cox, Len Faki, Christian Smith and Jay Lumen, he
started to give more importance to music production and DJing.

He released “Infliction'' and “Escape Array” on Jeton Records in 2019, supported by artists such as DJ
Rush, Marco Carola, Slam, Setaoc Mass and Emmanuel Arts. He managed to attract attention at a
young age by releasing the remix he made for "Mahmut Orhan - Hero", released under the Ultra
Music label in 2020, and the 4-song Klaxon EP with Jeton Records. In 2021, Mertens, who produced
joint projects with Horatio, Rıza Gobelez and Almyra, started his own studio during this time and
developed his basis of Mixing and Mastering.

Studying at University in Manchester, Mertens embraces Techno's deeper and more ancient
quintessence. Instead of today’s trends, Mertens blends old, fast-paced and energetic "hardgroove"
songs with the "modern mixing & mastering". Embracing these mixtures as his main identity, he still
continues to create new projects in his studio in Manchester.
