Davincia Pranaware (NL)

Davincia is one of the 4 daughters of a traditional Pia and a singer from Suriname. At a young age she was the only one of her family to come to the Netherlands, where she raised a beautiful family on her own. She has also been singing traditional Ka’lina music for many years and on many occasions and festivities. Singing this music is an honorary service in the Ka’lina culture. Doing this work is also seen as a gift. This music consists of Sambura, Krawasi and Maraca.
