Niklas Paschburg knows how to charm and bewitch with melodies and notes. His debut album ‘Oceanic’ was released on the !K7 sublabel 7K! in early 2018: a moving trip that sits between neo-classical, ambient and electronic.
Composed and recorded on the Baltic coast and inspired by artists such as Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, and Hauschka with echoes of Bonobo, and Kiasmos, the album received critical acclaim from the likes of NPR (dubbing it one of the most beautiful albums of 2018) and The Guardian, DJ Mag, Clash, Bleep, and more. “For my first record I really wanted to make something different,” Paschburg notes. “Something between piano, classical and electronic music, but also with some pop flavours incorporated.”
In the past year he has toured with WhoMadeWho and performed at numerous European festivals as well as a sold-out Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
