Mambo Brothers

Mambo Brothers

Christian and Alan Anadon, better known as the Mambo Brothers, were raised in the clubbing utopia of Ibiza. As the sons of Cafe Mambo founders, they were exposed to the world's best DJs at a young age and began soundtracking the iconic sunset spot.
The pair started their journey DJing at Café Mambo’s sister bar Savannah, warming up for legends like Roger Sanchez and Carl Cox. Their style of music takes cues from across various house sub-genres, inspired by artists such as Pete Tong, Masters at Work, Jason Bye and more recently Jamie Jones, Kölsch, Luciano, Nic Fanciulli, Andrea Oliva or MK. Their skill to read the dance floor took them away from their home turf, DJing internationally at ‘Mambo On Tour’ events, that have now taken place in more than 60 cities across the globe, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Dubai, Doha, London, Miami, Monaco, Moscow, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul, Tokyo and many more.
The brothers have a jam-packed 2018 Summer schedule, that saw them host their own Mambo stage at the biggest festivals worldwide, including We Are FSTVL, Tomorrowland and Defected Croatia. In early June, Alan & Christian debuted at Ministry of Sound to later return to London, to play B2B with Roger Sanchez at South West Four Festival.
Back home in Ibiza, the sibling’s diverse style as selectors led to slots at Space, Sankeys, and Ushuaïa, with regular sets at Pacha. In 2016 Mambo Brothers had the honour of playing the Space Closing party, which paved the way to their greatest feat to date. In 2017 they landed a historic residency at the new state-of-the-art venue Hï Ibiza, where they curated the The Club on Sundays. Christian and Alan hosted each week, joined by some of the industry’s hottest names; Doorly, Felix Da Housecat, Danny Howard, Idris Elba, and The Magician to name a few. On the 11th of June of this year, Mambo Brothers made their long-awaited debut playing at Café Mambo Ibiza and welcomed longtime friend and all-time hero Roger Sanchez as a special guest for the first edition of this monthly event hosted by the brothers. At the end of May, UK House Label: Defected Records kicked of their 21 weeks of Defected Ibiza and invited Mambo Brothers for the opening party at nightclub Eden, to see them return each month until October.
Following their release on Toolroom Records in March or 2016, Mambo Brothers went on to put out their momentous, two-track EP on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records. ‘Super 800’ and ‘Eso Es’ exploded onto dance floors worldwide and welcomed huge critical acclaim in this year. In the past two years the boys’ have earned support from taste-making heavyweights Pete Tong, Annie Mac, MistaJam and Danny Howard, who premiered ‘Control’, via Armada Subjekt on BBC Radio1. The track later went on to become one of Pete Tong’s prestigious Top 10 ‘Tunes of the Year 2017’, turning industry heads and cementing the Mambo Brothers as diverse and dynamic producers.
Early 2018, just fresh after their Asia tour, Mambo Brothers returned to Saved Records with their signature Balearic sound in the form of ‘Kasai’. This 9-minute long production with its far-away vocal, dreamy chords and cosmic buildup was also accompanied by a remix from Dutchman Franky Rizardo. To add more magic to the Summerof 2018, Mambo Brothers followed up their debut release ‘Momento’, that landed back in 2016 on Toolroom Records, with ‘Sundogs’ on the 18th of May, just in time to kick off the Ibiza season. At the end of June, Mambo Brothers also had the privilege to mix 27 uncompromising groove-led records for the second installment of ‘Subjekt Sessions’ on Armada Subjekt, taking over with the sound of Ibiza.
