Élodie Laurent is a London-based fashion designer, working primarily in the area of high-end fashion design and higher-level fashion education. She is captivated by the process of giving life to complex aestetics by way of ingenious experiments. Her work touches upon the world of handicraft and sculpture, and combine craftsmanship, forward-thinking and high-end quality standards. She managed the studio of the internationally acclaimed British fashion designer Gareth Pugh for three years and supervised the making of high-end couture pieces and accessories for Paris, New York and London Fashion Week, stage costumes for popular artists including Lady Gaga, Madonna, Beyonce, Daphne Guinness, Kate Moss, and installations for prestigious institutions and high-end department stores such as V&A Museum, Colette, Selfridges, Chrome Hearts, Harvey Nichol’s, Melissa. She is currently giving lectures at Central Saint Martins College of Arts, Concordia University and University of East London as well as working as a freelance fashion designer in her own studio in East London. She is focussing on developing her personal ideas into 3D and has been commissioned by clients such as Naomi Campbell, Michael Halpern (Versace’s head designer) and Foreign Beggars to work on bespoke pieces.
