Labelled a "vital cog in the machinery of UK Dance" by Mixmag and nominated for Best Radio Show in the DJ Mag Best of British Awards 2015, followed by two full-page features in print, you'd be tempted to feel left out if you haven't heard about Coco Cole yet.
Coco's prowess on the decks has also received reputable stamps of approval. This year, she was chosen by the revered Martin Solveig to be a resident for his hugely successful My House night at the legendary Pacha, Ibiza and she’s played for Carl Cox at Space, Maya Jane Coles & Friends and other leading clubs & festivals like Ministry of Sound, XOYO, Secret Garden Party & Bestival.
On radio, Coco is the face of dance music across Capital & Capital XTRA reaching nearly 9 million listeners every week. She hosts the flagship Capital Weekender on Capital, going against the grain of tradition in commercial radio by mixing live & ditching the adverts right across Friday & Saturday nights. On Capital XTRA, Coco opens the weekend with the Clubbers Guide on Fridays and closes it with her highly respected mix show on Sunday nights. This specialist show has boasted mixes from such esteemed artists as Dusky, Mendo, Skream and Riva Starr whilst also serving as a platform for undiscovered talent who Coco continually unearths. These taste-making duties extend with the Say Yes compilation series and running club nights on the underground London scene.
When she was just 21, Coco worked a key role at Black Butter Records orchestrating the label campaigns and launching the careers of now Grammy Award winning and internationally acclaimed artists. This year Coco will be returning to industry antics setting up her own record label and unique family of artists.
On air, Coco Cole rounds up the weekend troops with the latest dance floor hits and in the clubs she delivers eclectic energetic sets that oscillate between classic and future sounding house to deep reverb dripping techno… get a DJ who can do both. Read more
