Fontys ACI Workshop: How to Deal with Fatigue as an Upcoming Dance Artist
12:00 - 13:30
Volkshotel (V4) | Wibautstraat 150 , Amsterdam
Our educational Partner Fontys ACI will host an interactive session each day put together by their own students.
For most people the life of a dance artist seems to be magical, and to a certain extent this is true, but the downside of this life is often overlooked. A lot of DJs suffer from extreme fatigue through having to deal with long and irregular working hours, plus a lot of travelling and the constant feeling that they have to keep pushing towards a higher goal regularly haunts them. This leads to problems such as depression, physical pain, a lack of concentration, and sleeping problems. These factors combined often result in a burn-out, which affects their performance. They want to keep their fans happy, but ironically the best thing to do would be to step back and take some time off. During this interactive workshop students and upcoming artists will be introduced to the importance of dealing with fatigue, the consequences of it and how they can prevent a burn-out. A panel of renowned experts will offer professional advice and share their experiences with the participants of the workshop. Also, there will be time to ask questions and get some professional feedback on your personal situation.
