'Sound big, not squashed' : Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam presents: Workshop MarcoAntonio Spaventi
12:00 - 13:00
Compagnietheater (C4 Demo Room) | Kloveniersburgwal 50, Amsterdam
Everybody wants to be the loudest. But how do you get your music to sound full and big without it sounding over-compressed and squashed?
Nowadays, it’s important to get your production to cut through and sound big, even before it goes through the process of professionally mixing and mastering the track. On Saturday, Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam lecturer MarcoAntonio Spaventi will show you tips and tricks on how to achieve this digitally inside any DAW. With the use of various examples, he will talk about multi-band and parallel compression, MS-techniques as well as side-chain compression.
The Italian-born Marco is a professional sound engineer and producer, and is known for his solid technical expertise. He has been working on several projects as a solo and collaborative artist such as the RAG collective or the Crystal Maze duo.
This workshop is for any music producer wanting to add that professional touch to their productions.
