MYAmsterdam Kicks Off At Station Centraal

ADE is bringing some of its biggest artist names to Amsterdam's main point of arrival, the forecourt outside Central Station. MYAmsterdam features top DJs in an extension of MusicTalks which will be held in the IAMsterdam store in front of Central Station. It’s a small room with a capacity of only 50 people, surrounded by glass windows, so even if you can't get in to the venue itself, you can watch the action from outside! All the artists involved in the MYAmsterdam series have a close connection with Amsterdam. Some because they were born here and lived here all their lives, others are artists that have been significantly inspired by the city and its culture, and some are people that moved to Amsterdam because of its music scene! Entrance is free for everyone, and on a first come first served basis! From Wednesday to Saturday ADE will host three or four interviews per day.

Jan Engelaar – DJ Jean – is a true-school trooper of the Dutch scene, having been hard at work on the dance music coalface for over two decades now. Known best for his infectiously bouncing 1999 international hit 'The Launch' – it reached #2 in the UK pop charts – he has proudly represented the most joyous and fun-filled side of hard dance throughout his career. Whether it's straight-up hard house or tracks flavoured with the squirming synths of the “Dirty Dutch” sound of the 2000s, he has an unerring ability to deliver concentrated funk in his sets and productions. He remains a popular DJ with residencies in Amsterdam and beyond and a radio show two nights a week on SLAM!FM His career is a lesson in the preservation of enthusiasm and inspiration.
