Music as Medicine
15:30 - 16:15
De Brakke Grond (G2 Panel Room) | Nes 45, Amsterdam
Is the road to health paved by music? Music has a solid place everywhere in society. We hear music in stores, we use music for weddings and funerals, music brings people together and we use music when we protest to something. Music is an integral part of life…. So why don’t we use music in hospitals for people who are going through a period of illness, suffering and pain?
Marianne will talk about the work of the Music As Medicine research group from the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam and about the role that music can have in health care.
