Artists don’t sell their music anymore - they sell themselves. And unless you’re a huge superstar, releasing one album every year or three isn’t enough. In order to be successful, artists must be able to constantly build and engage with their audiences, develop a long-term relationship with fans and combine data and engagement to learn how to monetise that relationship along the way. But with audiences increasingly desensitised to social media and content marketing, and music essentially becoming another piece of merchandise, how can artists go about building their brand in 2016 and beyond?
