With millennials now making up the largest age group in many countries, it’s more important than ever for the music industry to be able to successfully market to younger consumers. With millennials spending at least 3 hours a day on their phones, and 2.3 hours a day engaged with social media, it seems that video, social and messaging apps are the key channels with which to engage this audience. But they definitely don’t want to be sold to - so what exactly does work when it comes to getting your music heard by millennials, and what doesn’t?
