Interface presents: ADE MusicTalks: Michael Beim 'Back to the Future'
13:30 - 14:15
Compagnietheater (C4 Demo Room) | Kloveniersburgwal 50, Amsterdam
At the ADE Sound Lab hotspot Compagnietheater, ADE will once again host a series of MusicTalks. The MusicTalk series features Q&A’s with artists, and most are free for music enthusiasts and fans as well as for ADE delegates. Three days packed with some of the worlds’ biggest artists engaging in live Q&A’s with the audience, sharing their experiences, opinions, and their passion for music! Questions allowed!
Otherwise known as 'Human-oriented Design or How I learned to filter out the Noise and embrace Serendipity'. In this talk Michael Beim will be discussing meaningful, intuitive instrument/interface design that does not dominate the creative process, putting the artist in the front seat. they will also be discussing the shift from DAW-heavy workflow to incorporating agents of serendipity and unpredictability in the form of Modular Synthesizers and their effect on the artistic outcome, plus live performance as a DJ/Producer - a fine balance between technical safety and the birth of a “unique” moment captured in time and space.
