The impact of our food consumption worldwide is enormous and festivals can make a big difference. There are so many choices and different festivals approach it in their own way. But what choice will have the most impact? Should you go local or vegetarian? Entirely vegan or organic? Or should you try to eliminate food waste completely? And if you have already chosen, what impact do you really make? How do you make sure your audience understands your choices and embraces them? There are so many food-based dilemmas. And so much things to take into account like co2 reduction, animal welfare, foodwaste and biodiversity. But at the same time there is so much to win. In this panel you can find out how DGTL, Welcome to the Future and Ieperfest have chosen their food policies and what the struggles were to implement such bold choices. Babette Porcelijn will explain what the (hidden) impacts of some of these choices are.
