Following the success of last year's project at the Rembrandt House Museum with Jeff Mills during Amsterdam Dance Event, we are thrilled to present another joint venture between ADE and the Rembrandt House Museum. Amsterdam based artist Heleen Blanken will present a physical art installation for the first time in many years.
Centrepieced in the authentic courtyard of the museum, the installation is an artificial depiction of geological structures and earth’s atmosphere. The work can be experienced from different levels in the museum, and each level represents a different layer of the natural phenomenon. The work is inpired by currently exhibited artist Hercules Segers, whose fantasy landscaping had a great influence on Rembrandt himself.
With producer Peter Van Hoesen delivering the soundtrack and Urbanears supplying headphones, visitors are sure to experience the magical installation coming to life.
The Museum, which is located in Rembrandt van Rijn's former home, is located in the centre of Amsterdam.
