Multiple winners at ADE Next
New talent was unearthed during the conference’s focus on up-and-coming musicians on ADE's Saturday.
Hosted by Dave Clarke, the annual Demolition Panel, in which any attending talent can pitch their demo to select judges during the conference, was won by Irish, production duo Iklektrik. Adjudicated by Eats Everything, Kölsch, Don Diablo, Marcel Fengler and Clarke, the techno and house outfit were awarded the accolade ahead of the other inspired competition. In addition, the twelfth edition of Vinylized – the annual Dutch competition that searches for the best, contemporary dance record – was won by local, production duo S.K.Y., with their track ‘Dark Skies’. Organized by the GRAP foundation the competition was adjudicated by 17 judges in total, including ID&T’s Tom van Wijk, Michel de Hey and more. As a prize, S.K.Y. will have their track remixed and released on vinyl, as well as be interviewed by DJ Mag and get free studio time.
