Vacancy Freelance Social Media & Content Coordinator

As Social Media & Content Coordinator you’ll work closely with the Marketing Communication Manager, as well as the Festival-, Conference- and Partnerships departments. In this position you make sure that all content is processed, placed and reported on time.

Position: Freelance
Period: Starting immediately, for about 8 months
Working hours: 12-40 hours per week


The most important tasks:

+ Translating the marketing and communication strategy into its implementation;

+ Daily coordination and implementation of all communications on the platform. You are responsible for making the content planning and the compliance with this planning so experience with photoshop is an advantage;

+ Writing, curating & editing newsletters, blog posts and other online expressions;

+ Maintain contact with (media) national and international partners and able to provide them with the right input at the right time;

+ SEO and SEA reports and data analyses, you perform your A/B tests and evaluate results;

+ Supervising the intern(s) marketing & communication and coordinating team photography and video during the event.

Your profile:

+ You have at least 3 years’ experience as a content or communication manager in the creative industry;

+ You have good knowledge of the electronic music industry and you know the Amsterdam Dance Event and its platform;

+ You have completed HBO course preferably in the direction of marketing communication;

+ You work result-oriented and organized. You are able to be flexible and you are creative in finding solutions;

+ Project and account management come naturally to you, you are able to switch effortlessly between internal and external accounts;

+ You are flexible. You can easily adjust to variable working hours and changing circumstances;

+ You know the online world, but you also see the importance of print and other forms of communication;

+ Affinity with electronic music and all of its (sub)genres is a plus.

You also have the following skills:

+ Good understanding of Dutch and excellent communication skills in English, both in speech and in writing;

+ Good knowledge of office applications and other tools (Outlook, Sharepoint, Keynote, Slack, Mailchimp, Google Analytics);

+ Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and/or InDesign is an advantage);

+ Good knowledge of Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube);

+ Experience with working in a CMS and CRM system.
