The enormous creative energy currently circulating in Africa is a genuine phenomenon. It covers every imaginable artistic discipline and form of expression from painting to music, photography, architecture, design and fashion, and it is growing and spreading across the whole continent. What started out in South Africa, Senegal, Nigeria, Morocco, Ghana and Uganda is also now spreading out into the world, offering fresh, original sounds and daring styles, as well as different personal perspectives and aesthetics. But who are the people pushing the boundaries and energising the creative power of Africa?
