Satori Presents: Maktub - Extra Show

Maktub, a cinematic experience by Satori, comes to Paradiso as a part of the Amsterdam Dance Event program in 2020. As this is a live show with seating only, the producer himself explains: “The objective is to move a live act into a real art piece. We will create a further cinematographic experience, were the visual art will perfectly mix with the sound, producing this way what an extraordinary atmosphere should be”.

Satori is inspired to capture electronic world music, where he combines endless blends of seductive trance and mind-altering earthy tones. It is not defined by any-one genre. Satori’s sound is more than just a switch on a soundboard; he is the man behind the instrument, creating melodies from the piano, kora, kalimba, and guitar in combination with a deeper form of electronic music.

The events are hosted in close collaboration with the city council. All of the public health and safety guidelines set by the government are taken into account. We kindly want to ask everyone to follow the guidelines and respect the rules that have been set by the participating venues. Read all about this here. We do not encourage (global) travel to Amsterdam.

Even though travel by flight is currently not prohibited, we do not encourage global travel to Amsterdam during ADE if the situation does not drastically improve leading up to October. Our team is creating an online-first format to ensure everyone can enjoy the event without the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus.

If you are planning to visit Amsterdam, please make sure to check the Dutch guidelines beforehand.

The current Covid-19 measures include keeping a distance of 1,5 meters and wearing a face mask when using public transport. Other general rules include washing your hands often, cough and sneeze into your elbow or disposable paper tissues and to stay home when you’re experiencing symptoms of a cold and/or fever. More information on the current COVID-19 measurements in Amsterdam can be found here.

The select number of ADE Special seated concerts have been set up in close coordination with the city council and the venues are obligated to operate within all COVID-19 guidelines in order to ensure everyone's health and safety.

The minimum age depends per event. Most clubs in Amsterdam are 18+ but some may have a higher minimum age. Please double check the venues website to make sure you can enter the event.
