How this Track was Built: RÜFÜS DU SOL

The trio of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt - aka RÜFÜS DU SOL, formerly just RÜFÜS - are an Australian sensation, having hit number one in the album charts at home with their first album Atlas in 2014. Since then, they've further refined their dramatic, bittersweet indie-electronic template, expanding into ever bigger, arena-filling, cinematic vistas, but at the same time refining their minute musical and emotional details. This combination of intimacy and grand vision requires an honest and directness in songwriting, but just as importantly it shows their technical finesse in the studio. Which is why there are a lot of important lessons to be learned from this session, in which the trio will talk through how they made "Underwater", the levitational second single from their SOLACE album of last year.
