Paradiso announces seated ADE Specials shows by Speedy J, Peaking Lights, among others

The first venue to reveal its ADE Specials lineup is Paradiso, hosting a Covid-proof series of seated concerts from Wednesday, October 21st through Sunday, October 25th. The live shows will take place at both Paradiso as well as the more intimate Paradiso Noord.

Paradiso's ADE lineup consists of special live shows by Satori, Speedy J and Super-Sonic Jazz, with more to be announced soon. Satori presents Maktub on ADE Friday, a cinematic experience that combines visual arts and sound into an atmospheric art piece, and techno veteran Speedy J presents STOOR on ADE Saturday, an improvised performance between alternating musicians and video artists using analogue machines to create an audiovisual trip.

Paradiso Noord will host live shows featuring Black Sun Empire & Guests, De Ambassade, Legowelt, Palmbomen II and Peaking Lights.

In accordance with public health and safety guidelines, capacity and ticket sales at both Paradiso and Paradiso Noord is limited with seating ranging from 86 per night at Paradiso Noord to 200-250 per night at Paradiso. The ADE Specials program is hosted in close coordination with the city council to ensure public health and safety guidelines set by the government.

We kindly ask visitors to follow public guidelines and respect the measures that have been set by the participating venues. ADE does not encourage international travel to Amsterdam.

ADE Specials

A select number of Covid-proof seated concerts and cross-cultural projects under the ADE Specials banner is set to take place in Amsterdam. In doing so, ADE operates in close coordination with the city council and the city's venues to host a balanced series ADE Specials throughout Amsterdam.

The first confirmed participating venues include Bimhuis, Concertgebouw, Melkweg, Paradiso and Paradiso Noord. More venues will be announced throughout the coming weeks, as well as the full program and ticket info. Tickets should be purchased prior to the events. Please note that with limited capacity, these events are likely to sell out well in advance.

In addition to the select venues hosting multidisciplinary concerts and projects in Amsterdam, ADE is set to present a virtual celebration of dance culture for a global audience of music enthusiasts, featuring a variety of digital content including DJ sets, artist talks, studio tours, masterclasses, artistic cross-overs, a film program and much more on a brand new, freely accessible online platform. Your ADE Pro Pass or ADE Digital Pro Pass grants access to the full ADE 2020 digital conference program. Tickets for the ADE Specials should be bought separately.

ADE is set to present a virtual celebration of dance culture for a global audience of music enthusiasts, featuring a variety of digital content including DJ sets, artist talks, studio tours, masterclasses, artistic cross-overs, a film program and much more on a brand new, freely accessible online platform.

In addition to the digital program there is a select group of venues hosting multidisciplinary concerts and projects throughout Amsterdam. Even though travel by flight is currently not prohibited, we do not encourage global travel to Amsterdam. Tourists and foreign travelers from countries with risks similar to or higher than in the Netherlands can be asked to self-isolate upon arrival.

If you are planning a stay in the Netherlands then be aware that you must follow the Dutch advice and rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please follow the advice of your government and check the Dutch guidelines before planning to travel.

The current Covid-19 measures include keeping a distance of 1,5 meters and wearing a face mask when using public transport. Other general rules include washing your hands often, cough and sneeze into your elbow or disposable paper tissues and to stay home when you’re experiencing symptoms of a cold and/or fever. The select number of ADE Special seated concerts have been set up in close coordination with the city council and the venues are obligated to operate within all COVID-19 guidelines in order to ensure everyone's health and safety.

The minimum age depends per event. Most clubs in Amsterdam are 18+ but some may have a higher minimum age. Please double check the venues website to make sure you can enter the event.
