Join global DJs & labels on a virtual cycle fundraiser streaming live during ADE

Monday, 12 October 2020
This year, the annual Cycle to ADE fundraiser initiated by non-profit organisation Bridges for Music is taking place as an exceptional virtual cycle, joined by global DJs including Richie Hawtin, Pan-Pot, Gigee, Rebekah, Floyd Lavine, Juliet Fox and Goldfish and teams from Armada, Awakenings and Defected riding from all over the globe to support education in underserved communities.

The entire 8-hour event will be broadcast live on ADE's free-to-access online platform on Thursday, October 21, and will include real time tracking of riders and special performances from an international lineup of DJs. Riders will be joining in from international music venues including Watergate in Berlin, Ministry of Sound in London, Bridges Academy in Cape Town and Los Angeles, and our very own home base, Felix Meritis in Amsterdam.

The venues and riders will be connected through cycling app Zwift to complete an 8 hour cycling relay (starting 14:00 CEST) via a unique stream powered by Beatport. The event will raise funds for the Bridges for Music program to help provide quality education to youth in underserved communities in South Africa. Previous years’ events funded the construction and operations of the Bridges Academy, a creative school in the township of Langa.

Want to ride with your favourite DJs from your own home? Follow along via cycleformusic.com or through the Zwift App using a smart turbo trainer. Just choose the artist you want to ride with and share the fundraising page link to help raise funds for South African students. Entries for new riders & teams at the official locations are open until October 12th. Home riders can join the event virtually up until the starting time.

This year's Cycle For Music fundraiser is powered by Beatport, Garmin, Pioneer DJ, Tacx and Zwift, and all proceeds will go towards the Bridges Academy in the township of Langa, South Africa.
