iZotope explores how technology changes the creative process at ADE Sound Lab

What should you look for in a collaboration? How do you get a song out of your head and into everyone else’s? And what should be your go-to tech to do it? iZotope, the producers of audio software and plug-ins for mixing, mastering, and restoration are back at ADE Sound Lab for a panel with DJs Carl Cox, Chris Liebing,Dubfire, and Miss Kittin.

They will talk about how their creative processes have changed and where they think electronic music is headed, as technology evolves to support it. Moderator and renowned producer Tony Nwachukwu will host the discussion and explore how digital technologies are helping to shape the life of the modern DJ. Reflecting on over 15 years in the industry, the panelists will take you on the journey from producing in an analog studio with Roland and Akai, to making music on their laptops. Drop by and learn about each artist’s creative mindset, how they approach collaborations, the challenges encountered by constantly-changing technology, and the opportunities they see in the future of electronic music.

ADE Sound Lab features intimate and revealing talks with major figures from the electronic scene, with formats such as ADE MusicTalks, The Record Bag Of ... and Studio XL. This year’s program features Elena Colombi, Headhunterz, Lucas & Steve, Mike Williams, Nastia, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Wally Badarou and Wantigga amongst others.

ADE Sound Lab also features the annual Demolition panel with moderator and DJ Dave Clarke alongside a panel of top DJ talent, demo pitches and audiovisual installations, plus a broad range of hardware and software brands to try out.

The program starts Wednesday, October 16th at De Brakke Grond and the Compagnietheater, and rounds up Saturday, October 19th.
