ADE LIVE adds De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig to its line-up

The Dutch Hiphop group will make their way to Paradiso on Wednesday October 16th for a one-time only techno set.

Following up on the ADE LIVE line-up reveal, we are delighted to share that on Wednesday night, October 16th, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig is set to perform during ADE Live.

The Dutch Hiphop group is known for its musical approach of irreverent, humorous lyrics and electronic beats. Their style is characterised by frequent use of wordplay, lyrical flirting with foreign languages and the propagating of neologisms, such as the well known single "Watskeburt?!" released in 2005. The group has topped the Dutch charts and toured the country ever since. Last June they celebrated their 1000th performance with a special concert at Olympisch Stadion.

De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig is comprised of Faberyayo, Vieze Fur, Willie Wartaal and their producer Bas Bron. As alter ego Fatima Yamaha, Bron was responsible for the music during the ADE opening event in 2016 at Stedelijk Museum, in collaboration with Nick Verstand, Nikki Hock, and Children of the Light. Bas Bron also performed at ADE LIVE in 2017.

At this year's ADE LIVE, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig is set to take over the main concert hall of Paradiso to play an “I ❤ Techno Special” alongside Hælos, Larry Gus, OTHA and many others. The primary goal of ADE LIVE is to present adventurous music lovers with the opportunity to discover hidden gems and special performances, while also offering carefully chosen upcoming artists their moment in the spotlight in front of the public. With treats like the one-time techno performance by De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, there is a lot to look forward to.
