Sheryl Lynn

Sheryl Lynn is a Dutch-Filipino DJ and producer from the Netherlands and her sound is a mix of house, progressive, big room and future house, with a touch of trap and future bass. In 2016 Sheryl Lynn launched her DJ career in the Philippines, where she rapidly grew her name in the industry, pumping up many crowds with her energetic performance as a headliner at various venues & clubs throughout the country, including Spade Superclub, House Manila, Club Privé, URBN QC, Samsung Hall, The Penthouse and Resorts World. She was furthermore quickly adopted as Angeles City’s sweetheart, landing a Sunday residency at Asia’s most luxurious hotspot, Aqua Beach Club, while also headlining at the city’s most popular club, High Society.

Back home in the Netherlands Sheryl Lynn is a recurring DJ for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam and she first expanded her international career with her performance at the 2016 Miss World America Finals in Washington DC. Aside from being a DJ at glamorous events and in Philippines’ vibrant nightlife, Sheryl Lynn also showcases wonderful streams of music through her online radio show. Heartbeat Radio is her bi-monthly podcast on Mixcloud, which she describes as a musical journey "from the heart", where you can enjoy her sound and stay updated on the latest tracks in electronic dance music. Sheryl Lynn’s love for music already started when she was very young, being a dancer all her childhood and teenage years. Being a stage-animal and music-lover was in her genes: her Filipino mom used to be in a dance group, while her Dutch father performed in a band and is a huge collector of vinyl and CDs.

After her dance career, Sheryl Lynn continued her spot in the limelight as Miss Netherlands 2006, representing her country at the Miss World Finals in Poland. This jumpstarted her career in entertainment, where in the years to come she continued to work as an international host and model, with projects in the United States, Canada, China and all across Europe. Her Miss Netherlands title furthermore provided her with a platform to realize her dream of launching her own charitable organization, the Sheryl Lynn Foundation, that for over 10 years to date supports Filipino people in poverty, with a focus on children and education. Sheryl Lynn furthermore became an ambassador for the Women In Need Foundation, when she was crowned as the international winner of the Mrs. Globe 2013 pageant in the United States.

After being heavily involved in relief & rehabilitation projects in the Philippines through her own foundation in the aftermath of super-typhoon Haiyan, while also raising awareness on Dutch national television, Sheryl Lynn was nominated for the prestigious 2014 ECHO Award in her country. After a tough competition, the jury chose her as the winner for combining the world of entertainment, academics and philanthropy to use the outcome for a greater purpose, which granted her a summer scholarship at UCLA, University of California in Los Angeles. She took up World Politics and Economics of Developing Countries and in the year after finished her studies back home in Cultural Anthropology & Development Sociology with honors, which was another investment in her foundation.

As a DJ and producer Sheryl Lynn actively continues to use her work in music and entertainment as a platform for her charitable work. Behind the scenes she closely collaborates with her husband, longtime DJ and producer Andy Callister, who inspired her to enter the DJ world and combine this with her philanthropy. After years of supporting her husband in his DJ career, Andy then started mentoring her with his 20+ years of experience and knowledge in the music industry. A powerhouse team was born and together they manage Sheryl Lynn’s career and spend a lot of studio time producing her original tracks. Next on the list are the preparations for Sheryl Lynn’s Asia Tour, but not before returning to the Netherlands of course, to have her debut performance at Amsterdam Dance Event.
