Namekawa studied at the Kunitachi University of Music in Tokyo with Mikio Ikezawa and at the Conservatoire de Paris with Henriette Puig-Roget . In 1994, he received the Japanese Leonid Cruiser Prize . From 1995 onwards, she was a student of the Karlsruhe school of Werner Genuit and Kaya Han at the Karlsruhe University of Music and also worked as a private tutor at Edith Picht-Axenfeld , György Kurtág , Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Florent Boffard . After the soloist singing, she finally studied Neue Musik with Stefan Litwin at theMusikhochschule Saarbrücken and Pierre-Laurent Aimard at the Cologne College of Music .
From 1997 to 2002, she taught at the Musikhochschulen Saarbrücken and Karlsruhe, and also at the Darmstädter Ferienkursen , where she also participated in the premiere of works by Johannes Kalitzkes . She has appeared at international festivals such as the Musik-Biennale Berlin (2001), the Piano Festival Ruhr (2002), the piano festival "Pianorama" of the WDR (2003) and the Electronica Festival in Linz (2003).
Namekawa played round-the-clock purchases at the Südwest-Rundfunk Stuttgart, the Saarland and the Hessian Radio, the Swiss Radio and Radio France. In addition to her solo work, she also worked in the duo with Dennis Russell Davies , under whose direction she performed Schönberg's Piano Concerto and Liszt's Totentanz with the Bruckner Orchestra in Linz in 2004/05 .
