With tracks more solid than the cinderblock buildings of Brick City NJ, upstart and Tech/House kingpin Blaqwell has steadily risen amongst the ranks of the new breed of house music producers from the USA. Having released music on numerous label's such as Brobot Records, Skint, Inhouse, Natura Viva and Toolroom to name a few, Blaqwell is delivering the goods on his own terms. On the floor, his beats jack and his basslines rumble. Just ask Marco Carola, who has been rocking "Build Chill Party" at festivals worldwide to devastating effect.
Blaqwell's music has also been supported by the likes of Ministry of Sound, late maestro Frankie Knuckles, Umek, Todd Terry, Sonny Wharton, and Toddla T. He has signed releases to illustrious labels like Toolroom, Skint, Natura Viva, Inhouse, Whartone, and Zulu. His tracks are regularly featured by Beatport and Traxsource for their "Must Hear" and "Essential" tunes, and he's seen big success in the DMC Hype Chart.
On the DJ front, over the past year Blaqwell has graced the decks alongside heroes like Jesse Rose, Felix Da Housecat, Oliver Dollar, Doc Martin, Weiss, and DJ Pierre. He also just had a successful set on the Brobot edition of Mixmag Lab (TBA Brooklyn) which brought the house down.
Not one to be ignored, Blaqwell's star is certainly on the rise. Sit back and watch what's to come from this NJ house music phenom.
