Black Girl / White Girl

Black Girl / White Girl are an Amsterdam based production duo set to imminently explode onto the electronic music scene. The girls meticulously channel the sounds of bumpy House, Tech-House and Techno into one of the grooviest, most exciting forms of club-ready music.

The duo’s current position is the culmination of two years spent experimenting with different styles, sounds, genres and techniques. Beginning with a slew of singles and releases on Madtech, Toolroom / Love & Other, Nervous, Guesthouse and more, Black Girl / White Girl is now a name that has begun to demand close attention.

Between their varied productions there’s a clearly defined but pliable and versatile sound that marks them out as a truly talented producers. Their debut “Don’t Stop / Got To Release” EP was released by Nervous Records in 2015. Its title track “Don’t Stop”, which got featured on Mixmag, went on to make it onto the label’s Top 30 of 2015 compilation released at the end of that year.

Their productions have turned more than a few well-respected heads since the onset of their career, counting the likes of John Digweed, Agents Of Time, Larse, Paco Osuna, Amine Edge & DANCE, Treasure Fingers, Joseph Capriati, Riva Starr, Nasser Baker, Stacey Pullen, Davide Squillace, ME & her, Ninetoes, Ben Mono and Don Rimini among supporters of their music.

Completing the picture is their DJing – another string to their creative bow that sees them perform their music selections in clubs around the world. In 2015 they went on their first tour, and were in demand to play clubs from Prague, and Tel Aviv, to the Netherlands - where they casually won over crowds with their groove-laden DJ sets.

Unlike many producers on the circuit, Black Girl / White Girl have perfected their craft behind the decks. Their chunky edits, live sampling, looping and surprising choices always make their sets eventful and extraordinary.

With a slew of new releases in the pipeline, there’s certainly a lot more of exciting things in store from the hotly-tipped production duo. Contemporary yet unapologetically nostalgic, their direct approach unites decades of influences. It is clear why their enchanting, dancefloor-ready vibe has already gained support from some of the biggest producers and selectors around the globe.
