Beat Patrol is Dutch house, progressive and electro DJ and producer. The real name behind Beat Patrol is Bas Gerritsen. The musical roots in Bas’ his life started young, actually both his parents are professional musicians, so music played a big role during his whole life. Bas even was member of a professional orchestra whilst in his mothers’ belly. After trying every instrument imaginable the drums became the instrument of choice.
Producing electronic music started intentionally as a distraction from a career as a professional athlete in gymnastics. However the music passion could not be ignored, and eventually became the main focus of energy.
Tracks, remixes and mash-ups of Beat Patrol were supported by the biggest names of the dance scene such as former number one DJ Tiësto, Blasterjaxx and played on festivals like Tomorrowland. The Danger EP (Future Focus Records) even made it to the DJ Mag where it got a great review. The track Fastball was used for the joined ad-campaign of KLM and Sensation in Mexico.
Beat Patrol plays throughout the Netherlands and plays frequently in countries around Europe. Some of the highlights are headlining festivals in Czech, playing at Amsterdam Dance Event, and playing in the best clubs of Amsterdam like: Escape, Panama, Hemkade, Club NL, and many other clubs throughout the Netherlands.
